Car

The car at the moment is an Audi A4 avant 1.9tdi SE with a few little improvements done to it.

Appearance:

It’s in Atlas Grey, with the nice 16″ wide 5-spoke alloys on it. The dips and front fogs were upgraded to 30w HID bulbs, and it has passed the NCT with these in place. No styling kit on it, but I do like the look of the Ultrasport kit. Maybe in the future..

Engine:

Almost standard 4 cylinder 1.9 TDi engine, some tweaking of the engine management was probably done in the past as verified by the vag-com logs. 5-speed manual gearbox with front wheel drive.

Interior:

Bog-standard interior, cloth SE seats, cd-changer, etc. I’ve added components from the interior light pack for some night-time accent lighting.

Plans?

I’d like to put 50% tint on the sides and rear, and a half-decent styling kit for the front and rear valences, side skirts, door blades and a small roof-level rear spoiler. The Audi sat-nav would be a nice if expensive upgrade, and a swap out for the sport or leather sport front seats is another one for the list. Cruise would be the first thing on the list though.

As it is, with 268,000 km on the car, I’m looking at it as a method of transport now, as there’s not a lot of point in making it fancy anymore.

Future cars!

I think that there is room for an Audi A6 3.0 TDI avant in my future, depending on what happens next year. Otherwise I’m looking at a nice Holden Commodore Tourer, or an HSV R8 ;)

If I see a good-nick Mercedes-Benz E 300TD estate, with the straight-6 diesel engine and auto box, I’ll be getting it as a project car, with a larger turbo and a fuel pump fixed by the Finns for a nice 350bhp sleeper..

Lotto winning cars..

I’d start by calling Hogan’s and ordering an A6 Allroad 3.0 Tdi, then taking that to MTM for fettling. I’d think about (depending on how much I win) an RS6 Avant, and an R34 Skyline GTR Nismo V-Spec for the weekend fun. I’d also add a Mercedes 450 SEL 6.9 to the mix forthe holiday cruising, and another 6.9 as a project car with a decently large turbo and MegaSquirt engine management to keep me occupied. I’d have to add a W140 AMG 600 for the engineering excellence and sheer build quality as well. Sarah would have something old and pretty.
